here’s a short summery: in the afterlife there’s a good place and a bad place. eleanor shellstrop, a selfish narcissist, has mistakenly been placed in the good place. eleanor enlists the help of her assigned soulmate, chidi — an ethics & moral philosophy professor — to try redeems herself and make herself worthy of the good place. needless to say this isn’t as easy. as the story progresses they form unlikely friendships and all six characters change each other’s lives forever.
the good place shows us how people can change and that it’s never too late to start being conscious of actions, to start being better, to start being kinder. as a whole, the show is so relatable and so full of heart and amazing; you really should be watching it!
and if all that wasn’t enough to convince you to watch the good place, watch this!it does a fantastic job of explaining why this show is so phenomenal and how it has reinvented comedy. please watch the good place you won’t be disappointed.
it’s extremely short and so very easy to watch. the first two seasons (as i’ve said already) can be watched on netflix/hulu/the nbc website. and you can watch the third season, which is coming out very soon (september 27th), on nbc on thursdays at 8:30/7:30c. so there’s nothing stopping you! drop everything and watch the good place!

Yes, I need to tell you that you have been manipulated by this site I used to spend my entire youth on. I used to be just like you but life made me mature and I realize now how brainwashed I was. This site is poison, and I sincerely and absolutely mean that. You were here since 2012? I was since 2009. Please, wake up, I beg you. the reason things like zack and cody and waverly place worked is because they were simple concepts that you could do a lot with. two twins live in a hotel. the same twins live on a cruise ship. wizards and other fantasy creatures exist in an urban setting. Nowadays Disney and Nickelodean sitcoms are all like ‘this family has a dog that can eat metal’ and they expect five seasons out of that.

Imagine going to a party and the white suburban stay at home mom with two overachiever kids and white dad who barbeques but doesn’t know how to barbeque and yet is always surrounded by other white Dads who compliment his barbqeuing even though they’re just store bought preshaped frozen patties from Ralph’s or Food 4 Less and while he’s cooking those the white mom comes out and says “okay kids, here’s some pizza!” And she pulls this out and starts telling the kids why its a “fun pizza” and then cries in her master bedroom when no one likes it or finishes it and the white dad is then consoling her why she sobs that she’s a terrible mother and ruined her fourth grade straight B+ sons birthday and thinks her kids hate her but they don’t care but she continues crying softly into her pillow while the children eat poorly cooked burgers with unmelted kraft singles and too much mayonnaise and the only other condiments are two pickles and pepper because the dad calls it his special burger with a secret spice but the spice was just pepper and the kids just keep playing E rated games on their Nintendo Wii while the 17 year old older sister starts cleaning the tragedy up and throwing away uneaten “fun pizza” and whole burgers dejected from the start while she dials Pizza Hut to get these kids an actual birthday lunch and the mother then throws a fit because the daughter did something the kids liked and she didn’t and was the only one making a huge deal out of it and the daughter was then grounded from her TV in her room for only two days and the son went to blow out the candles in his standard birthday cake from food 4 less the mom added strawberries to so she could feel she did something but was still slightly teary and sad because her day was ruined by no one wanting to eat her “fun pizza”

Amazon workers in Spain have called for a transnational strike because Amazon has been avoiding accountability for its labour rights violations by merely shifting the work (and the human rights abuses Amazon inflicts on their workers) to non-striking countries, each time a strike occurs. If there is widespread striking transnationally, Amazon will have no choice but to recognize the strikers’ demands in order to keep their facilities functioning.
Our job as allies is to support the strike by avoiding using the Amazon website or purchasing anything from Amazon for as long as the strike continues. A mass boycott of the site, coinciding with the strike, will strengthen the workers’ bargaining position and could be crucial to Amazon workers gaining back basic rights in a variety of countries.
